IN PRACTICE: Still life studio portraits

  1. The first image of the wooden statue is the strongest of the four. The lighting is done evocatively, allowing the shape to have dialogue with the light.

The hair light on the other two, the koala and the Buddha should be moved a bit forward, in lieu of casting shadows on the "face," or the shadows cast next to the turtle.

Great first batch of studio shots, though! GREAT!
